The common 2am HVAC calls.

If you're reading this in the middle of one, just call. If you're bookmarking this for later, here's what we typically handle.

No heat in winter

Pilot light out, bad ignitor, tripped flame sensor, failed inducer motor, thermostat miscommunication. Most common cause on Cincinnati's coldest nights: hot surface ignitor. We carry them on the truck.

Typical response: 1–2 hours

No cooling in a heat wave

Failed capacitor, stuck contactor, refrigerant leak, frozen coil, bad blower. Most common on 95°F days: dual capacitor. Inexpensive part, quick fix.

Typical response: 1–2 hours

Water leaking from the unit

Condensate drain backup, clogged float switch, frozen coil melting. Turn the system off to stop the leak, then call.

Typical response: 1–2 hours

System won't turn on at all

Could be thermostat, low voltage fuse, tripped breaker, or a failed board. We start from the simplest cause and work up. Most "dead" systems have a $10 fix.

Typical response: same-day, often same-hour

Same price at 2am as 2pm.

This is the thing that sets us apart the most. Most HVAC companies have an "emergency service fee" on top of the diagnostic, often $200–400 in addition to the repair. We don't. The diagnostic is $79 at any hour, and parts are the same flat-rate pricing we use during the day.

Emergency FAQ.

Are you really available 24/7?

Yes. We answer the phone nights, weekends, and holidays. No call center, no voicemail routing. If you call after hours, the owner or a team member picks up.

Is there an after-hours surcharge?

No. The service call is $79 flat, any time. Same price at 2am on Christmas as at 2pm on a Tuesday. This is genuinely unusual in HVAC.

How fast can you get to my house?

In most emergencies across Cincinnati and the north suburbs, we can be at your door within 1 to 2 hours. Same-day is standard. Customers on the homepage have called out arrivals within 10 minutes and same-hour in winter.

What counts as an HVAC emergency?

No heat in winter (especially when temps drop below freezing). No cooling during extreme heat, especially with elderly residents, infants, or pets in the home. Gas smell (call the gas company first). Water leaking from a unit that could damage your home. If you aren't sure, just call.

Can you handle emergencies on weekends and holidays?

Yes. Brad, one of our customers, called on the coldest night of that winter and we were there in ten minutes with the right part. The phones ring through to us around the clock, and the whole team is set up to respond.
