Why maintenance actually saves money.

A dirty condenser coil can cut your AC's efficiency by 20% or more. On a hot Cincinnati summer, that's real money on the electric bill. A single spring tune-up typically pays for itself in the cooling season.

More importantly, most catastrophic HVAC failures show early warning signs. A capacitor weakening. A heat exchanger starting to rust. A blower motor amperage climbing. When we catch those on a tune-up, it's a $135 part replaced on a scheduled visit. When we don't, it's a call at 10pm in a snowstorm with a cold house and kids in bed.

And maintenance keeps manufacturer warranties valid. Lennox (and every other brand) requires documented annual service. If you skip it, your 10-year warranty can be voided. Easy to forget, expensive to remember too late.

Maintenance customers, in their words.

“Quality, honest service with clear communication. They stepped in when another company failed us, arriving within an hour to fix someone else’s mistake without a charge. We have already had them return to perform preventative maintenance at a fair price with great attention to detail.”
William Ochs
“Nathan inspected our furnace system yesterday. He was on-time, respectful, friendly and did a great job. We now use Sycamore Heating for all our properties.”
Greg R
“Honest and professional. They provided the last annual service to our home. Aaron was able to extend the life of one of our older units and on price comparison provided us with competitive rates on a new unit in the future.”

Maintenance FAQ.

What's included in a maintenance visit?

Spring AC visit: full cleaning of the outdoor condenser coil, indoor coil inspection, refrigerant pressure check, capacitor and contactor test, blower inspection, drain line clearing, filter check, and a thermostat run-through. Fall furnace visit: burner cleaning and inspection, heat exchanger check, ignitor and flame sensor test, blower motor amps check, gas pressure verification, and safety control testing.

Do I have to be on a plan to get good pricing?

No. Our flat-rate repair pricing is the same for everyone. The maintenance plan is for people who want us to show up on a schedule, catch small issues before they become breakdowns, and keep manufacturer warranties valid.

Does maintenance really extend system life?

Yes, by a lot. A clean coil pulls heat more efficiently, which means the compressor works less hard, which means it lasts longer. A clean burner burns cleaner, which means the heat exchanger lasts longer. We have customers whose 30-year-old systems are still running because they kept them tuned.

When should I schedule each visit?

Spring AC tune-up: March through May, before the first hot week. Fall furnace tune-up: September through November, before the first hard freeze. We'll reach out to schedule when the season comes around.
